Blauer Abend once started as a radio show in Saarbruecken, Germany. Then became a label when it fusionned with Thibaud L. and Stephane F. 's Last Train label.

We do support female artists, at Blauer Abend, and in the word of experimental / ambient / "and so on" music, Suzanne Hafenscher, aka MaCu, is one the most remarkable of the german scene.

"Sometimes" sounds like a dark and strange daydreaming afternoon in the summertime. In a heavy, stormy summer afternoon. And that's exactly what we all need these days.

This time, the excellent photographer, and also musician Jürgen Heckel gave us two tracks, remixes of Yoshihiro Hanno, "Lost" and "Marriage".

Jürgen Heckel, also known as Sogar, was born in Nuremberg in 1970 and has been living in Paris for 14 years and is now located in Munich. He started playing music when he was 19 and became part of several groups as a guitarist. He then got interested in creating and processing sound in unconventional ways. Thus Jürgen manipulates accidental sounds to create light and fragile melodic textures. The ...sources of these arrangements are guitars as well as sounds from mixing consoles, amplifiers, cables or other aural finds. These sounds are then reworked on a computer to become a music made of cracklings, and rich melodic oscillations exploring the extremes of the sound spectrum by associating acoustic technique and software.

June 11, 2011 : Antoine Agard "Pastorale"

Antoine Agard is a sound sculptor from Strasbourg, France, born in 1974, who only works with field recordings and human voices filtered through effects and a vocoder (like he does on "Pastorale").

This particular work - an excerpt - has been made for the short movie "Aire de repos" directed by the techno artist Francois Palermo (http://www.waxaddict.fr/), which was presented beside the INACT festival in Strasbourg, May 2011.

" For D. " is a montage of several field-recordings made in 2009 - the sounds were collected in several zoos and wild places in Canada and Germany during her european tour with Materia Aurora - mixed with trombone played by Niedowierzanie.
